Let’s merrymake your home and celebrate the season! For the longest time, I’ve wanted to try this classic Christmas trend of adding multiple wreaths with bright big red bows on all my exterior front windows. And I figured what better year to start this tradition than 2020 to bring some extra joy to the neighborhood!
For the love of all things festive and merrymaking! Confession here: I love the holidays more than parties! Yep, the holidays have my heart — I even got engaged on Christmas Eve! The feeling the holidays give me, the music, the mood they put me in, the craft ideas and baking possibilities, the joy they bring really is endless. It doesn’t get better than Christmas time, it really is the most magical time of year!
I’m forever committed to the things that bring me joy! Designing, creating, making, teaching, reading, writing, growing, meditating and so much more have all been done in this little space. Last year I redesigned this corner nook in my house and dedicated it to my inner joy. A space that would invite me to slow down, quiet my thoughts and connect more to my creativity. I knew surrounding myself with comfort, ambiance and beauty would do the trick.
When I was 17 I was given the gift of learning how to meditate, a week of instruction from a former monk. It was a rare and magical opportunity to learn from someone that had lived a life dedicated to the practice for 11 years.
There’s just something about decorating your home with seasonal decor that gives you all those cozy, warm and happy Fall feels. Seeing the traditional decor items like pumpkins and mums, to candles and wreaths gets me so excited for the season change.
