Let’s Make lemonade!

Nothing says summer like a lemon or lemonade birthday party! Styling this party was beyond fun with all the happy yellow and pops of pink. Plus, can we talk about that pink script party balloon and those lemon shaped fruit balloons, both of which totally made this lemon-inspired party come together so nicely! I love when I’m styling a party and things just click into place and the decor tells the story of the theme so beautifully. A lemon “party” is iconic summer, so I knew I wanted to incorporate the script party balloon and have those cute lemon balloons frame it, giving tribute to the fruit that started it all…lemons!

A LEmon Party: Best Summer OR end-of-summer Party

One of my favorite things about summer is the more relaxed feeling we have towards our schedules. Our minds shift away from work to planning summer vacations, pool parties, backyard BBQs and block parties. More daylight means more open space on our calendars and in our hearts to truly celebrate life with the people we love.

The days may consist of swim lessons, summer camp and lemonade stands, which are such a beautiful reminder to slow down and enjoy the slower pace of life and to celebrate these little years with our little ones. This summer it was always on my mind of how I could make my boys’ summer truly special and different from the school year. I think this is one of the reasons the lemon party theme is so popular for summer parties because we think of these magical moments that make up a childhood and we want to give our children a piece of the magic. Parties are so much more than the decor, the cake, the planning… they are memories in the making, thoughts of magical remembrance of childhood, a season of life so dear and so special.
